melts my ♥ rock

You know how Saturday was such a cold and windy day? Well, we were dumb and decided that was the day we were going to take our family's picture via self timer (another not so brilliant idea). While I was positioning the tripod for a shot, I saw that Clay was playing in a rock pile and putting them in his pocket. Keep in mind that this is just minutes after Clay had been messing around on a rock and came sooo close to falling backwards into the pond. I was stressed out over the pictures, freezing cold, and now I was worried that Clay was going to be covered in dirt. I lost all of my patience, yelled at Clay and told him to join us for the picture. Later that night, we were at home and Clay comes up to me and says, "I have a pa-pise (surprise) for you Mom". He pulls this rock out his pocket and says, "It's just like a heart." He is so precious.

After all of that, we still didn't get a single good picture. So, we will try again later... on a warm day. I did get a picture of my good-looking husband. Isn't he just so handsome? I'm a lucky girl!

Hey! If you really need someone I can take your family pics. Maybe we could do a trade-off! Just let me know!

Your hair really did look so cool on Sunday. Not sure how new it is but it's great!

that rock story is so sweet. Little boys really do have tender hearts (tender hearts, but dirty and sticky little hands). good luck with your pictures. I sure wish you were here to take some for us. when's the next time your coming to ut?? I would love a new family picture and some of Ava when she comes.

Aww! What a super sweet little story! They always suprise us like that don't they? And um, I don't know if you are still doing it or offering, but I would love love for you to take our family pictures! And I would be glad to hold the tripod for you to take yours!

And on another note we need to have another play date sometime soon!

I think Mike should drop the career path he is on and take up modeling.....
