Camping

This week has been crazy busy for me. I finally have a moment tonight to post pictures from our camping trip last weekend. We made the trip to Tyler State park along with Mike's brother and his family. The park was beautiful and different from the other campgrounds we have been to in Texas. As soon as we got there we set up our tents and then cooked dinner. We bought a dutch oven and cooked some chicken and rice. It was pretty tasty! After the kids went to bed, we feed some racoons Pringles, M&M's, and they helped themselves to our leftover rice.

The next morning, we woke up bright and early and had breakfast.

Then we headed to the lake for some fishing...

The kids even caught a couple...

and then played in the sand while the dads tried to catch some fish...

Then we got this crazy idea that it would be fun to take the kids on a little nature walk...

which turned out to be a 3 MILE HIKE and not very fun (especially the last stretch of the hike that was the closest thing I've seen to a mountain in Texas) We each had to carry one or two kids when they just could'nt walk anymore.
